Children and family Coaching
As a busy parent, life can get hectic very easily. Here are some of the issues that I have already helped parents with:
- Time management within a busy family
- Relationship building with children
- Establishing family routines
- Developing confidence as parent
- Managing teenagers
- Work/family/life balance
Parents often think there is not enough time in the day to do everything, let alone for life coaching. Research shows that parent coaching reduces parental stress, gives important resources, and helps parents learn and use their strengths and come to appreciate themselves and their children.
The New York Times reported that 83% of working mothers have experienced conflict between work and home and are searching for a way to create needed balance. A study of Generation X men reports that 63% of men do not believe that the traditional gender roles are better for family life, and want to be more involved in the parenting of their children.
There is also existing research that provides evidence that life coaching programs for young people may provide multiple benefits. These benefits include; improvement in overall health, and well being, and hope, improved academic performance, goal setting and motivation; increased ‘cognitive hardiness’ and confidence in themselves.
